A Blessing for Renewal Amid the Storms
Baruch Atah Adonai, Eloheinu Ruach HaOlam, Â
Blessed are You, Source of Life, who sustains us through every storm. Â
As the month of Elul draws near to its end, we pause to reflect on the year that has passed and the year that is to come. We hold in our hearts all those impacted by the forces of nature, especially in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, and all places where lives have been uprooted by Hurricane Helene.
May they find shelter in times of danger, strength in moments of weakness, and the hope needed to rebuild and renew.
We mourn the loss of life and hold in our hearts their memories and praying for their loved ones to find comfort and peace in the face of unimaginable grief.
As we approach the new year, may we open ourselves to growth and healing. May we enter this season of teshuva with open hearts, seeking to repair what has been broken and to care for one another with greater kindness and compassion.
For those of us nearing the secular end of the year, may this too be a time for reflection and renewal. May we all have the courage to embrace the changes we need in our lives and the world around us.
May this new year bring peace, health, and fulfillment of our highest hopes and dreams.
